AIDS Global Action has an annual poster contest for students in New York City. I was one of 27 finalists, along with a good number of my classmates. Students have the choice to bring about awareness to the epidemic. I chose to focus on the hopeful fact that HIV+ pregnant women have an almost 100% chance of delivering uninfected babies with early detection and medication. Here's the link to the finalists http://aidsglobalaction.org/aga-poster-competition-2011-–-finalists/

Welcome!
Friends, welcome to my blog! It's been in existence for awhile but it was only really for me. But this way, I figure it'll be easier for me to track what I'm doing while in school and you can all share in the happy experience. The MFA program at the School of Visual Arts has been thus far amazing and challenging. My classmates are truly wonderful people and fantastically hardworking talented artists.
Spring semester starts in a few hours. It is freezing in the studio. My hands are so frigid, I can barely type! I have yet to solidify a book idea for the term. Meanwhile I’m still trying to get more final work done from the previous semester with Viktor Koen. These are studies of stretching dogs for one illustration where the clown first encounters the aerialist. The illustrations are inspired from the short story "My Last Attempt to Explain to You What Happened with the Lion Tamer" by Brendan Mathews.
I will also be working on my online portfolio!
